26) Bring a pair of work gloves. What? I thought we were out here to have fun. There are lots of things to be hauled around and carried on even a short canoe trip. The bow saw and axe are very sharp and can’t tell the difference between firewood and fingers. The grill over the fire gets murderously hot before you figure out that it’s not quite level and then after dinner you have to haul thirty pounds of food up in a tree with a scratchy length of rope covered in wet sand. Get yourself a pair of gloves of the working variety and save a lot of wear and tear on your hands. You may not have the hands of a surgeon but at least you might still be mistaken for one at the local watering hole at the conclusion of your canoe adventure. |

Just wondering, does Adventure Canoe have a relocation program for members? I’d like to sign up!
I actually might be moving south to MO this spring. |
