Hmmm… I suppose that if I only get a lump of coal, I can still use it to cook some tasty food outdoors. If I got a lump of coal from everyone then I could cook enough food to have a party.

Gifts are great but just being there is often just as good if not better. Give your time and attention and don’t forget be kind.

I posted a list over a Nessmuking not too long ago: Great Gift Ideas for Paddlers 2009.
Topping my list was a kayak video. I’ll try to embed the trailer, otherwise click the link to check it out.

Sea kayak with Gordon Brown!

Must be a different Gordon Brown. I can’t imagine our Prime Minister in a sea kayak! :)

For those looking for a great deal on a fantastic rescue knife, Sierra Trading Post has the Spyderco Rescue w/ Emerson opener on sale, and if you join their DealFlyer email club, you can usually get an excellent discount on top of that price if you are willing to wait a week or so.  I bought one of these a little while back and it is an awsome knife with a superior Japanese steel.  Highly, highly recommended if anyone is looking for a rescue knife for a reasonable price.  Get ‘em while they are available.

nice list! but for now what I really like on the said list is the chaco sandals that really gives comfort in exploring outdoors… really durable and reasonable too. :)

This is what is on the top of my list:

I was also eyeing a beautiful red Wenonnah Prospector 16 with all wood trim at the local shop too.  I don’t think I’ve been that good this year though.  :-)
