Great photos... Thanks for going paddling with me. We'll have to do it again sometime.

Ellen
thanks for the fine photos and welcome.

I am amazed at how little water that Prospecter draws. With you in the boat and the Yeti(fully loaded I assume) you can still see the curve of the hull where it transitions to the bottom. that Canoe can haul some gear! I notice that you have put your lacing to good use. That's pretty much how I use mine too.
Looks like your canoe dog had a great time too.
Regards,
Mike
Mike-
It's almost hard to paddle without a cooler full of beer in it. If I'm in the back it will still drag a little in about 5 inches of water but paddling from the center allows me to float over almost anything.
I'm sure my fellow paddlers will probably laugh at me when I take the skills test for my ACA certification in a canoe with a 65 quart cooler in it. They will assuredly applaud me when I offer them a beer after passing.
I had a little trouble with the canoe dog this time out. I usually jettison her early in the trip to help her get her sea legs back. She swims happily along side the canoe for a bit and then I pull her back in. This time she was milling around in the middle of the canoe and I called her to the back and tossed her overboard. For the rest of the trip she was a bit skeptical when I called her back from her forays on the beach. She would slink back hoping not to get tossed in the water again. She still gets excited when she sees the PFDs and paddles being loaded into the car though.

Looks great!
Love the beer cooler.
I want one now...

Here in Missouri we don't get into a canoe without tossing a cooler full of beer in it first. We typically refer to this as a float trip.

You certainly do things in style!
Style...??? HahahaHaHAHAHAAAA!!! Stop it, stop it! My sides hurt I'm laughing so hard.
You've still got bits of shipping labels stuck on that canoe.
The blue Superman shirt is photogenic though. Try to remember that when we are taking photos the next time... and wear the cape.
