Not much of an expedition but it was the first time on anything other than flat water for my girlfriend. she has been in the canoe 4 times so she was sort of taking it easy. The dog always takes it east in the canoe. With his PFD on to stay warm he would rather be in the canoe than pretty much anywhere. same as me.

I had to laugh. "I need you to paddle" is what I say to my husband whenever we go canoeing. And I say it about every five minutes!
